First Presbyterian Church of Barrington
100th Anniversary Restoration and Renovation Project
Preserving Our Past and Building a Vision for Our Future
Project update February 23, 2011
Since our Dedication Service in March 2010 work has not stopped on the restoration and renovation of our church building. We are now into “Phase III.” The original brief description of this phase was that it is “general cosmetic improvements. This is the entire painting of the exterior, interior painting and refinishing throughout and new floor coverings throughout.”
As you can see Phase III was designated to cover Cosmetic Finishes for most of the church building. However there are some important items that should be added.
Following is a brief description of items that need to be addressed:
Install heat in the two new restrooms. – Done February 2011
Replace the garage side entry door.
Remodel the down stairs fellowship room and hallway (walls and floor)
Move the church office upstairs to room 20 and or remodel the existing room.
Clean and paint the entire Sanctuary
Put new rugs in the Sanctuary
Remodel the Kitchen
In addition to the photos below there are more under “Pictures.”
